Today is Red Dress Day, also known as the National Day of Awareness of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and gender diverse individuals (MMIWG).

Manitoba Moon Voices Inc. (MMVI) honours and stands in solidarity with MMIWG families on this day of remembering.

Unfortunately, Indigenous women, girls, and gender diverse individuals continue to be the subjects of alarming rates of violence.

You can help make our communities safer for women, girls, and gender diverse individuals by calling your MP and demanding action.  You can also attend a Red Dress Day event like the ones listed below.

A Sacred Fire will be held at:

Ka Ni Kanichihk
455 McDermot Avenue
May 5, 2022
3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

A youth led ribbon tying event will be held at:

Redwood Bridge
May 5, 2022
3:30 p.m.
By raising our voices together, we honour the missing and murdered and help to make the changes needed for our communities to be safe for everyone.

Miigwech, Ekosi, Wopida, Masi Cho & Thank you
