MMVI Board of Director

MMVI invites eligible and committed community members to submit an application to serve on MMVI’s Board of Directors. There are 3 seats available (two 3-year term and one 2-year term).

Application to become a MMVI Board of Director

This is an opportunity to help guide an organization dedicated to advancing the voices, rights, well-being and leadership of the people and communities MMVI serves (Indigenous women, girls and gender diverse individuals).

MMVI is seeking candidates who bring integrity, sound judgment, community connection and a willingness to work collectively. Experience in governance, finance, policy, human resources, fundraising, advocacy, communications or community development is welcome; lived experience and community knowledge are equally valued.

Applicants must submit the completed application, provide a short biography or resume and get a nominator and seconder, who is a MMVI member, by the closing deadline. MMVI will use the following 7 days, September 11-17, 2026, to confirm eligibility, complete due diligence, assess candidates, conduct interviews if required and prepare a recommendation.

The successful candidate(s) will be selected or advanced in accordance with MMVI’s By-laws and Board policies (noted below). MMVI’s membership will vote for the selected candidates at our Annual General Assembly on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
